Ben

Ben was one of the first dogs rescued by NASRN.  He was seized by authorities in an abuse case.   Ben had been chained up with no food or water.  His belly was full of gravel that he had eaten to try to stop the hunger pains.

Ben was adopted by Brent Deitrich and his family in Pennsylvania.  Even though Ben was already at least 5 yrs old, he took to the role of livestock guardian with great gusto.   No one would get past Ben, he was quite serious about his job.

Ben had a great life on the Deitrich farm where he was a valued member of the family and a loyal guardian to his goats.   He was a true blue, devoted guardian and he is greatly missed by all that knew him.
