Hannah

This is in memory of Hannah.

I got Hannah when she was 6 months old, and for 11 years, she was a very faithful guardian of my pygmy goats, horses, cats, and every other critter on the Texas farm. I would often see her sunbathing with our lone stray rooster, that showed up at our place one day, and figured Hannah would be a great protector for him as well. When my horse was down with West Nile Virus, Hannah laid next to him, not even getting up to eat her meals.

She was the sweetest, most caring soul. She was very independent, and was not in need of too much human attention, other than an occasional stroke on the head. I miss her so, but I am grateful to have been in the presence of such a wise Anatolian.
