Vasi
November 27, 2007

No one knows where poor Vasi came from. He was one of the hundreds of thousands of dogs picked up each year as a stray. No one cared enough to keep him safe at home.  No one cared enough to keep food in his stomach, as he was just skin and bones when he came to the shelter.

Vasi was terrified at the shelter. It was loud, cold and very scary for him. He laid there on the cold concrete for almost 2 weeks before we even knew he was there. By that time, Vasi had become very sick with a terrible upper respiratory infection.

Vasi crossed "The Bridge" sometime during the night after we pulled him from the shelter. He didn't know that he had a wonderful home waiting for him the next morning.

Although we didn't have a chance to get to know Vasi, we still grieve for his passing.  He will still be missed and deserves to be remembered, as he was an innocent victim, tossed away by uncaring humans.

Rest in peace, Vasi.
