Meet Patience!  This past summer, Patience was spotted in an industrial area, fending for herself, and sporting a very large mass growing on the side of her shoulder area.  People working in the area began putting food and water out for her in an effort to try to capture her.

Patience was quite elusive and very quick on her feet. It took several months before she was finally captured. Soon after, she was taken to the vet to examine the growth protruding out of her body.  The vet felt the growth was a lipoma, which is a fatty lump between the skin and muscle, and is usually harmless.  Patience then underwent surgery to remove the mass, which ended up weighing a whopping 9 pounds!

Patience has since recovered from surgery and was given a clean bill of health by her amazing vet, Dr Meyers.  She is now ready to find her forever home and begin her new life.

Patience must have belonged to someone at some point..... she loves car rides, snoozing on the sofa and is very comfortable being indoors.  Since she has not been evaluated with livestock, Patience is looking for a companion home.  She's a super sweet girl who is looking for a loving home to call her own.

If you are interested in adopting Patience please email Becca at  becca@nasrn.com  for more information.

TRANSPORT OPTIONS:  Patience is eligible for transport to points along the east coast with a rescue transporter ($185). Also, depending on where you live, we can often help with transport within approximately 1,000 miles via volunteer drivers. There is no charge for this transport but the foster/adopter usually drives the last leg/increment of the trip.
