Meet Gary!  He is a big, handsome, young neutered male Anatolian Shepherd Dog, estimated DOB 10/19.  

Gary is looking for a foster-to-adopt or adoptive home.

Gary is fully vetted, in good health and is heartworm negative.  He weighs 95 pounds (this is a guess, he might be 100), but still has a lot of room to fill out.  He will probably weigh 110-120 pounds once fully grown.  

Gary didn't get a lot of love or food or attention for most of his life.  But he has a lot of love and kisses to give.  

• He's a big bouncy pup that is still learning he's a big and strong pup.  He is good with large sized dogs and plays rough. 
• He would do best with another big dog or two or three to play with.  
• Gary is housebroken, and getting better on a leash, and is learning some basic commands.
• Gary's perfect home will have a securely fenced yard and another young, medium to large sized dog to play with. 
• He loves being in the yard and going on walks. 
• And he even has pretty good manners inside 

PS: Gary is pictured with his foster sister, who is almost his twin!  Gary is the dog in the foreground.

Please note: Gary will do best with another dog close to his age and size.  If you don't have another young, playful dog, you will need to commit to giving Gary lots of exercise opportunities.

Transport assistance within 1000 miles may be available depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route.

Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions.

Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
