Meet Theo!  He is a very handsome neutered male Anatolian Shepherd x Great Pyrenees mix, estimated DOB August 2023.  We don't know where Theo came from but, considering the shape he was in when he came to us, we're pretty sure he's had a rough time in his young life.

Theo came to us with open wounds on his face and he was absolutely terrified and shut down when he was in the shelter.  He was too scared to even stand up, he had to be carried outside.  Through all of this, he never once showed any hint of aggression.  He was scared but was 100% docile with everyone who handled him.

Theo has been in foster care since mid July and he has made a considerable amount of progress. He's learned that belly rubs are good.  He no longer flinches when he is touched and he is learning to love being petted and spending time with humans.    Theo LOVES duck jerky!!  He's willing to follow you just about anywhere if you have duck jerky!

Theo is doing well with the other dogs in his foster home.  We feel he will do best paired with a confident but laid back female dog who is close to his age and size.

Theo did test positive for heartworms but he is asymptomatic and is being treated with the doxy/moxy treatment plan.  He has no restrictions on activity and he should test negative within 12 months.
