Meet Mickey! He is a super handsome Anatolian Shepherd mix, estimated DOB is April 3, 2019.

Mickey and his sister were the last two puppies left at a "trade days" sale. Their mom is an Anatolian Shepherd but previous owner was not sure who their dad was. Since he had not sold the last two pups, he was just going to shoot them because he didn't want to care for them any longer. A concerned citizen asked if she could have them and he agreed.

Mickey is a wonderful pup. He is friendly, playful, cheerful and is an all around happy guy. As with all puppies, he will need guidance and supervision. He will make a great companion dog. Mickey is smart and a quick learner and he loves to play.

He is crate trained, learning to walk nicely on a leash and knows basic commands - sit, stay, settle, drop, down and off.

Mickey will be a big boy when full grown.  At 8 months he weighs approximately 80 lbs - he is still very lean and lanky so we expect he'll continue to grow and put on additional weight as he gets older. Since he has not been evaluated with livestock , Mickey is looking for a companion home.

If you are interested in adopting Mickey, please email Becca at  becca@nasrn.com  for more information.

TRANSPORT OPTIONS:  Mickey is eligible for transport to points along the east coast with a rescue transporter ($185). Also, depending on where you live, we can often help with transport within approximately 1,000 miles via volunteer drivers. There is no charge for this transport but the foster/adopter usually drives the last leg/increment of the trip.

We currently do not have transport options from TX to the NW/PNW.  Adopting parties living in these areas would be responsible for arranging for their own transport.
