Meet Tate!
He is a 3 year old neutered male Anatolian Shepherd Dog. Such a handsome guy with dutch markings!
Tate was picked up as a stray but when his owners were contacted they told the shelter that they did not want him anymore. That was probably the nicest thing they ever did for Tate! It was obvious that he was not well cared for.
Tate is ready to start a new life, though. He is a wonderful boy who is looking for a very special home. Tate will need someone who has a lot of patience and understands how unique shy dogs are.
Tate will do best in a home with another dog who has a confident personality as he seems most comfortable taking cues from the other dog he is with.
Tate is good with cats, other dogs, is crate trained and housebroken.
Tate is neutered and fully vetted. He did test low positive for heartworms and we are treating with slow kill method which is simply giving monthly heartworm preventative each month. Tate's estimated age is around 3 years old.
If you are within 1,000 miles, we can usually help with transport using volunteer drivers (depending on the route/availability of volunteers).
If you live farther than 1,000 miles, we can still assist, however, the adopting party will need to drive any mileage over 1,000 miles. For example, if you live 1200 miles away, you would have to drive 200 miles out.
