Meet Maverick!  He is a super handsome young adult neutered male Anatolian Shepherd Dog.  We estimate his DOB to be appx 12/2018.

We have only had Maverick a short time so we are still getting to know him.  He came to us from a failed working home so he is looking for a companion home.  His previous owners indicated that he is not good with livestock.

He is, however, wonderfully friendly and good natured with people.  He's a big teddy bear love bug.  He has been good with the other dogs he has met, as well.  Mav' hasnt had much training so he will need to work on basic commands and leash manners.

He's such a great dog and is going to make an awesome best friend and loyal guardian.

Maverick did test positive for heartworms.  We are treating him with the slow kill method using monthly Advantage Multi and a 30 day round of doxycyline.  He is asymptomatic and is expected to recover with no physical detriment.
