Meet Sam!  He is a 7 year old neutered male Anatolian x Pyrenees cross.
Sam's owner had to move out of state and was unable to take him with her.  Poor Sam is understandably confused and depressed right now as he doesn't know where he is or what's happening.

Sam's owner was going to euthanize him if she could not find a rescue so we have him in boarding right now because we had no open fosters on such short notice.

Sam's owner indicated that he was good with cats but he can be dog selective.  Sam may be happiest as being the only dog in the home.

Please let us know if you might be able to offer Sweet Sam a foster, foster-to-adopt or adoptive home.

Transport assistance may be available within a 1,000 mile radius depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers.

Secure fencing with a minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions. Please note that some Anatolians will require a taller fence to keep them safely at home.

Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
