Meet Leonard!  He is a super handsome, super sweet, super silly, super loveable Anatolian Shepherd or mix.  We estimate Leonard's DOB to be March, 2021.  He will be neutered and fully vetted before adoption.  Leonard currently weighs 65 lbs but will likely weigh 100lbs when fully grown.

Leonard came to us as a stray who was not reclaimed.  He is a really nice pup, very friendly and sociable.  He is still very much a puppy and has lots of puppy energy!  Leonard is going to do best in a home where he has another dog his age and size to play with.  We prefer to place him in a home where he is paired with a female dog.

This big boy is very sweet and loveable.  He truly enjoys snuggling and is happy to sit for some lovin'.  He is food motivated and smart so he should be easy to train.  He will need work on leash manners and basic commands.  He will sometimes jump on you when he is excited so is going to do best in a home with older children and no adults who may not be steady on their feet.

Leonard's perfect home:

• Young, large female dog to play with
• Securely fenced yard
• No small children less than 7 years old
• No frail or unsteady adults

Transport assistance within 1000 miles may be available depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route.

Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions.

Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
