GAINESVILLE, TEXAS: ADOPTED NO LIVESTOCK EXPERIENCE EMAIL ASDRESCUE@GMAIL.COM Meet REX! He is a handsome 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd x Great Pyrenees cross. His owner dumped him at the shelter because he was reportedly chasing the neighbor's cows. He didn't hurt them in any way. Rex was slated for euthanasia at the shelter so we are paying to board him in order to save his life. Rex is totally worth saving, too. He's a very sweet natured, friendly boy. He's good with other dogs and is friendly with people. Rex is neutered and fully vetted. He did test positive for heartworms so we have started him on slow kill treatment with moxidectin. This is simply giving him a monthly dose of heartworm preventative and retesting after 12 doses. He does not have any symptoms and is a healthy, active boy. ___________________________________________________________________ Transport assistance within 1000 miles may be available depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route Secure fencing with minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions. Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
